Women in Power

From the past several years, we have become more and more acquainted with hearing the word feminism, and since then we have seen women fighting around for their rights. This would not be the case in an ideal world, but since we live in a patriarchal society, it comes with it.

Today is Women’s Day and our delightful aim is to make it a Happy Women’s Day to all those beautiful women on the earth!

To make it more fascinating and cheerful we have come up with some fun facts about “women & science “

The Italian Lady professor

Laura Maria Caterina Bassi Veratti is the first female university professor and was awarded a doctorate in science. She was also the first female physicist.

 The space queen

Valentine Tereshkova, a Russian engineer, and former Soviet cosmonaut became the first woman in space. She is the only woman who has traveled solo on a space mission.

Super Doctor

Kamala Sohonie was the first Indian woman who receive a Ph.D. in a scientific discipline. She also received the Rashtrapati Award for her research.

Mom on mission

Minal Rohit, an Indian scientist at ISRO (Indian space research organization)who is also a systems engineer, and who helped send the Mangalyaan space probe to Mars. She was part of MOM (Mars Orbiter Mission).

Here we have mentioned a few women and their epic establishment. But this does not end here, many more women around the world are constantly in process of innovation & discovery of something new in their everyday life. It could be anything from making a sabji to discovering a new rocket science.  And a wonderful fact is that all of them are taking new roads and uncovering new trails for themselves.
